Ginger Mathews
As CEO, Ginger focuses on growing the company by recruiting top talent and keeping clients and staff happy. She began her career conducting audits for Arthur Andersen, LLP—serving energy conglomerates, multinational restaurant groups, technology startups—and was CFO of a 24-unit Wendy’s franchisee before acquiring APN Group. A member of the American Institute for CPAs, she’s also a two-time University of Texas alum, where she earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting. Ginger loves solving problems and helping clients truly understand their numbers through solid financials and management reporting—often for the first time in the history of their business.

Q: What is your favorite APN Group memory?
I love our holiday parties. We all gather together in the same place at the same time, and I get to let my team know how much I appreciate them. I usually get some love back, too.
Q: What was your favorite Halloween costume of all time?
Sid and Nancy. (Yes, I was Nancy.)
Q: What is your biggest achievement in life?
That I am here right now. I have a wonderful career, a growing company and I did it all by myself—I paid for my own education at the University of Texas, and I was a single parent when I purchased APN Group.
Q: What challenges are you looking forward to taking on?
Providing support for young accountants and entrepreneurs. And, of course, continuing to grow the company.
