Q: What challenges are you looking forward to taking on?
Career-wise, I’m always excited to take on new clients and projects at APN. I like to help clients navigate through their accounting issues and come out on the other side with a more efficient and effective accounting department. Right now, most of my personal challenges revolve around house projects. We recently moved, and there’s a lot to do in our new house to make it a home for our family.
Q: What is your hometown and what do you love about it?
I’m from Vidalia, the small town in Southeast Georgia known for its sweet onions. It was a great place to grow up as a kid, with all of the good (and even the bad!) small-town stereotypes. Vidalia is quirky, quiet, and full of great people. It’s still a place I love to visit when I go see my parents.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Atlanta?
There are way too many great places to eat in Atlanta! How many places am I allowed to name? For pizza, I really love Varasano’s. Steamhouse has my favorite combination of tuna melt and lobster bisque—but The Optimist is my favorite seafood place. I love Mali’s for sushi and Thai food, the tacos and enchiladas at Taqueria del Sol, and Miller Union is probably my go-to for a New-American dinner out. We also recently went to Revival in Decatur for Hillary’s birthday and it’s now a serious contender for my favorite new restaurant.
